'ECHOES IN BLUE'

$1,200.00

Acrylic and soft pastel on canvas

100 X 70cm

This piece is an original by Millie Gillespie created in 2025.

Echoes in Blue unfolds like a reflection — layered, shifting, and softly abstracted. Washes of translucent acrylic and soft pastel flow across the surface in water-like movement, diffusing into one another with quiet rhythm.

Suspended within this fluid field are clearer lines and sharper forms — subtle contrasts that mimic the way shapes appear and dissolve on the surface of water. There is stillness here, but also tension: a dialogue between clarity and blur, between what settles and what drifts.

The palette holds to blues, greys, and softened neutrals — cool and reflective, like a memory returning from beneath the surface.

A meditation on depth, perception, and the space between seeing and feeling.
