Created in her Perth studio, Millie’s paintings explore the dialogue between structure and spontaneity — a reflection of her background in both architecture and fine art.  Layered and intuitive, each piece is marked by soft gestures and grounded tones of sea greens, clouded blues, and warm neutrals. These colours become vessels for memory, emotion, and atmosphere — shaping works that feel timeless, personal, and deeply connected to place.

Stillness Between – A New Series

In Stillness Between, Millie unveils a new collection of paintings exploring the quiet space between clarity and ambiguity, memory and presence. Rooted in her background in both architecture and fine art, these works speak in soft, layered tones—mostly blue, green, and neutral—evoking inner landscapes of stillness, emotion, and slow unfolding.

Rather than depict places, Millie captures how they feel - drawing from her time between England, Switzerland and Western Australia. Through careful layering, erasure, and gestural mark-making, each painting holds traces of movement, memory, and restraint. They invite viewers to pause, observe, and feel - without demanding interpretation.
